Tsali is a small show and breeding kennel located in North Georgia.  We are active in all phases of conformation, companion and performance events.  As you navigate the site you will see that our numbers stay low so that each dog get the individual attention and training required to make them shine in any ring!!

We breed sparingly with careful attention to temperament and working ability.  All our pups are ‘companion’ quality – able to go anywhere and do anything you’d like to; be your best buddy, or perform on any field!  From household pet to herding, obedience, tracking, SAR, schutzhund or AKC/German style conformation - we have the dogs and bloodlines to do it!!

Welcome and Catch the Dream………………

ABOUT US:

I started competing with horses at a young age, showing Quarter Horses and Arabs professionally for several years then moved on to dogs in the late 70’s.  The family had always owned Collies, German Shepherds, and Aussies so it was an easy decision to go into GSDs and Aussies!  I began training with Georgia Stephens, of von Stephanhaus fame, with an American bred dog of German breeding.  With his help, she became Kel-Sarbo’s Terra CGX TC HIC TC CCE [Class Clown Extraordinaire!!]   Kelly was the unofficial mascot for the GSDC of Atlanta and helped train and socialize hundreds of dogs in their puppy and obedience classes!

I acquired my first ‘showdog’ in the mid 80s and showed in my first GSD National, competing in Open and Utility and conformation in 1985.   Growing up in the Atlanta club was an experience I can only wish for others.  Being able to discuss structure with Don Jones, Sally Holcomb, George Stephens, Carmen Battaglia, Nancy Harper, Kathy Steen, and others was a unique experience!!   I generally stuck to German or German American crosses so that I could continue in the performance ring but finally went all American to breed my first homebred Champion GSD.  In the interim, Aussies were accepted into AKC in the late 90s.  At that time I had one 12 year old and was just getting back into the breed so purchased and bred my first AKC home bred champions as soon as the breed was accepted.

We are many years beyond the beginning.  I am an AKC and ASCA judge in German and Australian Shepherds and Juniors.  In the ring I look for the same things I look for in my breeding program – soundness from every angle, males who look like males, and dogs I would love to see working in the field – whether it be herding, schutzhund, or as a child’s companion and guardian.
