Tsali is the biggest doghouse in the South East! The numbers stay low so all the dogs can live in the house. The girls go out in the kennel while Im working (so I have a house to come home to) but have the run of the property and house most of the day and night. I have dogs because I like dogs - not hot house flowers! Everyone runs together unless were in heat, when Fire has to live alone, and everyone is expected to get along - no small feat with all three girls birthdays in November (ages 3, 2, and 1 very soon). Everyone is socialized and loved.
"Team Moses" help out with the conformation shows just because its expected and Im finally financially able to do it. Thank you guys for five champions in five years! I play at the performance stuff just because its fun. The dogs pick their own performance venues, or lack thereof, because they are companions and if theyre not having fun, why do it? My dogs come first and we have nothing to prove.

Im not really IN to boy dogs so Firedog was supposed to be my second homebred champion and just a show dog. Hed have none of it. He decided he was going to be MY dog at an early age and wormed his way into my heart, where hes been ever since. The boy aint no wuss! In 1996 he passed the GSDCA Temperament Test and tried to eat the agitator! I keep telling everyone He is so a real shepherd! Fire is lord of the manor and self-appointed guardian of his domain (and me, and the girls, and the house, and the truck, etc.) Fire just celebrated his eleventh birthday on August 17th and just CERFed clear for another year!! His one and only litter to date turned two the same month! They say the mark of a stud dog is in his progeny. Ch Flash and Ch Coal have made their dad proud and little sis, Dancer, will be in the ring soon.
Fire is from a multiple champion litter and ½ brother to BIS Ch Bayshores Flapjack.

(AKA the Cookie Monster or the Monster for short - sometimes affectionately known as lil miss perfect)
Sire: Sel Ch Bar-Ns Magnum v Destino OFA
Dam: Ch Tara Airways Reba of Eberling HIC
All I had was Aussies in the house and Id been looking for a sable bitch for about two years when Bev Anderson offered Mary Gattone and I the opportunity to lease Ch. Tara Airways Reba of Eberling HIC (Thanks again, Bev). We bred her to Sel Ch Bar-Ns Magnum v Destino. The pick bitch was mine and I put in my order early - I wanted Reba with Magnums bone and substance. [Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it!]. Reba is a lovely bitch and very accommodating. She waited for Mary and I to return from the 98 National and whelped that night (Nov 8th). All I wanted was a sable bitch. I didnt care if she had three legs and two heads - I wanted another sable bitch. Puppy after puppy came - no sable bitch. Reba decided she was finished - no sable bitch. I couldnt believe it - eight puppies and no sable bitch. About five hours later Mary and I decided she wasnt finished so after a trip to the vet - numbers nine and ten entered the world. Number nine was the monster. She was the only sable bitch out of ten puppies.
She was mine from the moment she popped out of her mommy and she knew it. Mary constantly fussed at me - what if shes not good enough? I dont care. Youre spoiling her. Im trying to. Show dogs cant be house dogs. Shes going to be! Shes too big. So??? SHES ROTTEN! Isnt it wonderful! Sorry Mary, Im not changing my mind! You cant have her!!!!! Id walk into the whelping room and nine puppies would charge the door of the run. Thed leap and yell and raise cain. Not lil miss perfect. Shed just sit and wait. When I made it to the gate shed stand up and walk right through the others like the parting of the red sea. She knew I was coming for her and didnt have to compete for attention. After all, she was little miss perfect. She is exactly what I wanted and if she hadnt been, I would have changed my wants! Is she perfect? If not, I dont want to hear it. Let me be blind with just this one. She has the heart and soul of a German Shepherd Dog. She is physically sound and agile. She is bright, inquisitive, and the biggest brat in the country. And she's mine, ALL MINE!!!!! HeHeHe Hey Mary, she FINISHED, and I GOT THE PICK BITCH!!!!!
Cookie is now home enjoying her new retirement!
